For the past 10 days been having problems with downloading new files and updating battle net agent- however on the 4th of August didn’t have such issues- have tried every method that would help to resolve the issues but to no anvil, also got the same issues on my laptop as well.

As soon as I open installer, i get "Downloading new files" and it wont go any further. This was the same message that i received when i was initially launching WoW (Instead of battle net launcher) and realized there was an issue (Which lead to the "Blizzard Agent/Sleep" problem when directly launching Battle Net Launcher.
The fix that worked for me was right clicking Battle.net Launcher.exe then click Properties > Compatibility tab > check the box “Run this program in compatibility mode” > from the drop down select Windows XP (Service Pack 3) > also check “Run this program as an administrator” > click Apply > OK.. Apply the same settings for Battle.net.exe and you should be good to go!
